Our Journey

Five Star Food Services was founded in 1979 by the Parisi family. We started in the garage and front bedroom of our parents, Steve and Rosemary's home. Rosemary prepared food out of her home kitchen. The original idea behind the creation of Five Star Food Services was to provide extra income for the children on a part-time basis. Five Star Food Services grew at a fantastic rate because it found a niche in the Sugar Land area. The company grew quickly because of the personal and quality service provided.

Our Growth

We made customers feel like part of the family. Word spread, and we stretched to Texas City, The Woodlands, and even Freeport. Joe and Cosmo joined Five Star Food Services full time in 1980. Jim, Stevie, and Stephanie joined full time after they received their degrees from college.

Awards & Recognitions

Five Star was awarded the prestigious "Small Family Business of the Year" from Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business. This award is given for outstanding business practices, commitment to customers, and the community.
